Lawrence Lim Teng Chye is a proven leader and strategic thinker with more than 25 years of experience in human resource (HR) management, event organisation, operations, capability development, organisational development and transition management.
He retired from the Singapore Armed Forces as the Chief of Artillery in 2016.

Lawrence is a certified coach, training and TETRA facilitator and employment agent. He is also a certified Crossfit trainer. He holds Master's degrees from the Imperial College of London, the Naval Postgraduate School, the Royal Military College of Canada, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
​
In March 2015, Lawrence organised the State Funeral Procession for Singapore's founding prime minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. He also successfully orchestrated the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 28th SEA Games in June 2015.
He won SHRI's CEO of the Year Award in 2014, and was awarded the
Singapore SOKA Goodwill Award for leadership in the 28th SEA Games.
In 2006, he also won the Defence Technology Prize for developing and operationalising the world's first heli-portable lightweight 39-calibre 155mm howitzer, the PEGASUS, for the Singapore Armed Forces.
Lawrence is currently Chairman of the School Advisory Committee for
Gan Eng Seng School (GESS), his alma mater. He regularly give talks to students on leadership to inspire and motivate them
